Modern Learning
Sotogrande recently secured Apple accreditation again—a distinction reserved for schools with strong technical foundations and innovative teaching approaches. Tech integration runs deep here: younger students learn with individual iPads, while middle schoolers work on MacBooks. Beyond these personal devices, the campus houses four Mac labs and communal areas with Mac mini stations designed for interactive group projects.
Global Citizenship at Sotogrande School
The global citizenship program aims to build skills and cross-cultural understanding, grounding students in awareness, respect, and responsible thinking about sustainable solutions. Drawing from UNESCO and Council of International Schools guidelines, it’s structured around four core pillars. The Kindred Project stands out—a student-led organization founded in 2010 that turns education into a tool for positive change, partnering with communities across Ecuador, Morocco, Spain, and Uganda.
Sports Programs at Sotogrande School
Golf ranks among the school’s most distinctive offerings, with a program designed for ages 10-18 that merges academic studies with athletic progression—and opens doors to US scholarship opportunities. There’s also a polo academy run jointly with Polo Valley, recognized as the world’s first elite polo institution. SotoTennis, launched in 2010, has earned recognition throughout Spain for its high-level training, and basketball follows a similar model.
Elite Sports Program
Sotogrande International created a tailored pathway for student-athletes, giving them room to pursue both demanding academics and competitive sports. The program moves through three phases—Future Champions, Junior Champions, and Elite Champions—all aimed at positioning students for university scholarships and meaningful careers after graduation. It’s open to students from ages 10 through 18.
